Steel buildings

TG Welding fabricates steel buildings in our Liberty Hill shop and sets them on your slab: the frame, the sheeting and covered porches or bays. Send the plans, the site and the date you need it, and we reply with a written quote in days. We work for builders, contractors and landowners across Central Texas.

What kinds of steel buildings does TG Welding build?

Shops, barns, commercial buildings and steel homes. Jobs in our gallery include a multi-bay commercial building and a large building with a lean-to. Others are shops with roll-up and overhead doors, and steel homes with covered patios and glass doors on the porch side.

Covered porches and covered bays are a common add. We run them the full length of the building when the plan calls for it.

FAQ Steel buildings

Steel buildings questions

Do you set the building on my slab?

Yes. We fabricate the frame in our Liberty Hill bay, then our crew sets it on your slab and closes it in. If the slab is not poured yet, tell us who is pouring it and when, so the steel schedule lines up with the concrete.

Do I need a permit or engineered drawings for a steel building?

It depends on where the building sits. Cities and counties across Central Texas set their own rules, so check with your local building department before you order. If you already have engineered drawings, send them with your quote request and we build to them.

Can you add a covered porch or lean-to?

Yes. Covered porches, covered bays and lean-tos are common on our buildings, including porches that run the full length of the shop. Mark them on your sketch or plans and we include them in the written quote so there are no surprises later.

How long does a steel building take?

It depends on size, scope and material. You get a written quote in days, not weeks or months. Tell us the date you need the building and we confirm the schedule in writing when you issue the PO, so your crew can plan around it.

What are we fabricating?
