Embeds and plates before the pour
TG Welding builds steel for concrete, foundation and piering contractors in Central Texas. We cut and weld embed plates, anchor bolt templates, pier caps and brackets in our Liberty Hill shop. Plate parts come off our CNC plasma table. Send the drawings and quantities, and you get a written quote in days with the schedule confirmed in writing once you approve the quote.
001 The problem
The pour does not wait on steel
- 01
Embeds hold up the pour
Forms are set and the truck is booked. If the embeds are not on site, the whole crew stands around.
- 02
Templates that do not match
A template off by a hole means bolts in the wrong spot. Fixing that after the pour is slow and costly.
- 03
Small runs get ignored
Some shops won't touch a short run of plates. You still need them by the pour date.

007 FAQ
Straight answers for concrete and foundation
Can you cut anchor bolt templates to our bolt pattern?
Yes. We cut plate templates on our CNC plasma table to the pattern on your drawings. Send the drawing with hole sizes, spacing and quantity. We quote it in writing in days, and the schedule is confirmed in writing once you approve the quote.
Will you take a small run of embed plates?
Yes. Production runs are welcome, one part or a thousand. A short run of embeds for one pour gets the same written quote and the same written schedule as a big order. Send the drawing, the count and your pour date to sam@tgweldingatx.com.
Do you design the embeds or just build them?
We build them. We fabricate to the engineered drawings you supply, and we're not engineers. If a detail on the drawing is unclear, we ask before we cut, so the parts match what your engineer called for. Send the drawings with your quantities and we'll quote it in writing.
Can you weld to embeds after the pour?
Yes. Our fully equipped mobile welding rig comes to the job site to weld plates, brackets or columns to embeds. Tell us what is going on the embeds and when you need it, and we will quote the field work in writing.
Got a pour coming up?
Send drawings and quantities to sam@tgweldingatx.com or call the shop at (512) 548-5401 for a written quote.
