001 The problem

When the kit is not the whole job

  • 01

    Add-ons stall the crew

The customer wants a porch, a lean-to or a bigger door. Your crew waits while someone figures out who builds it.

  • 02

    Field welds pile up

Clips, door framing and fixes need a welder on site. A sub who doesn't show holds up the whole frame.

  • 03

    Rework on the slab

Parts that do not fit the drawings mean cutting and refitting in the field. That costs days.

007 FAQ

Straight answers for metal building erectors

Can you build the porch or lean-to after the main building is up?

Yes. We build porch and lean-to steel in our shop to tie into the existing frame, then our crew sets it on site. Send the building drawings and photos of the frame as it stands. We will quote the add-on in writing and confirm the schedule once you approve the quote.

Do you do field welding on the slab?

Yes. Our fully equipped mobile welding rig comes to the job site for clips, door framing, tie-ins and fixes. If a part needs more than a field weld, we take it back to the Liberty Hill bay and bring it out ready to set.

Can you build the whole red-iron frame?

Yes. We fabricate red-iron frames, columns and beams to the engineered drawings you supply, and our crew sets them on your slab. We're not engineers, so the design comes from your dealer or your engineer. If a detail on the drawings is unclear, we ask before we cut.

What area do you cover?

Liberty Hill, Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Bertram, Burnet, Marble Falls and Northwest Austin, plus Williamson, Burnet and Travis counties. For a building farther out, call the shop at (512) 548-5401. We'll talk through the site, the scope and the schedule with you.
